Job description / Role
Reports to: Applications and Database Manager
Functional Area: IT
The Database Senior Officer is responsible for ensuring proper database services such as data storage and data warehousing are maintained and functioning effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish database services (data store, data warehouse, etc.) requirements.
• Implement and manage database services solution.
• Manage database’s performance and capacity.
• Define data backup and recovery requirements.
• Perform and manage backup and recovery.
• Optimize the use of databases across QSE by staying current on any relevant enhancements
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science
• CISSP, CISA or CISM certification
• Over 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of and experience in various database administration functions
• Experience in using Microsoft Office tools
• Understanding of the principles of database management
• English is required

The Qatar Stock Exchange also provides the public with access to market information and ensures correct disclosure of information.
