Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, including cranes, as well as experience in port operations. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, contributing to the success of our projects and operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems of heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, loaders, and trucks.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts usage, labor hours, and equipment status.
• Coordinate with equipment operators and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to maintain adequate supplies of spare parts and consumables.
• Follow all applicable regulations and guidelines related to equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.

Salary:
QAR 2,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a construction or heavy equipment industry.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Experience working with heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, loaders, and trucks.
• Familiarity with port operations and equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in diesel mechanics is a plus.
