Job description / Role
Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible for execution of all survey work and ensure that all mating interfaces between fabrication, marine and others are accurately measured
• Takes the dimension of structure after fit and before release and provide feedback to immediate supervisor.
• Ensures the DC ITP is strictly followed at each stage, include updates the plan to incorporate any process changes to scope of planned survey work
• Assist in perform Pre – weld /Post weld survey as specified in the dimension control plan and as required by the governing specifications
• Help in preparing & providing input or dimensional survey reports.
• Liaise with the Client Discipline Representative on all matters affecting dimensional control.
• Maintain accurate records of all dimensional inspections and control activities.
• Keep a log of all dimensional control survey requests and results.
• Ensure all dimensional survey equipment are calibrated and valid.
• Ensure work area preparation and housekeeping are completed safely and diligently
• Conduct Risk Assessment within areas of operation (such as take 5) and working closely with supervision to ensure that operations activities are completed safely and diligently.
• Employee should prioritize the wellbeing of themselves and their colleagues while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Adhere to all health & safety protocols, participate in wellbeing & wellness programs, and promptly report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of oneself & others in order to foster a culture of best practice
• Perform other duties or assignments as directed (Fit up inspections, weld visual inspections etc.).
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• ITI or Trade Apprenticeship/Higher Secondary Education
• Dimensional control survey certification
• Proficient in AutoCAD software / Drafting.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in surveying structural assemblies and piping spools.
• Hands on experience in using relevant measuring and surveying tools such as SOKKIA, Leica. Topcon etc.
• Experience and knowledge of structural drawing and piping ISO drawing reading.
