Job Description

What you will be doing:

You will be responsible for driving strong financial performance at the hotel. We look to the person in this position to deliver superior financial performance, ensure operational efficiencies, implement effective financial controls, and put in place practical, non-bureaucratic policies and procedures.

- Lead the financial input into the formulation and implementation of the Hotel Strategic Plan and Budget, and any other key financial strategic planning exercises.
- Establish and maintain adequate controls for all revenues and expenses and protection of assets.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage the hotel's cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet financial obligations.
- Prepare detailed operating and capital budgets, accurately forecasting revenue and expenses and monitor actual performance against budgets and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate timely and accurate financial reports and conduct financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Maintain an awareness of and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure safe and proper storage and access for all contracts, leases and other financial records.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, and/or Hospitality Management
- Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a similar or finance leadership role
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as financial modelling, budgeting, and reporting software - OASYS, OPERA, FMC etc. is required
- The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team is paramount
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
