Job Description:

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for performing various maintenance activities on the ground in a timely manner to prevent unexpected equipment breakdown. The primary responsibilities include:

• Working on-site to execute maintenance activities as assigned by superiors.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety practices on-site.
• Inspecting equipment and identifying problems, promptly notifying superiors.
• Executing work within given timeframes with superior quality.
• Providing work completion/progress reports to superiors.
• Maintaining work site housekeeping at all times.
• Reporting unsafe acts/conditions and assisting in mitigation processes.
• Following standard work instructions from superiors.

Functional Competencies:

• Gantry Grab ship unloader (shore cranes)
• Bulk Material Handling Conveyors & Stackers
• Dust Suppression System
• Elevator & EOT
• Lubrication systems
• Hydraulic and Pneumatic System
• PLC and Industrial Networks & Electrical switchgears, transformers, power cables, and protection systems.
• Electrical VF drive units.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Underground cable works.
• All types of Air Conditioners.
• Knowledge of all types of lighting systems.
• Weighing System (Weighbridge, Belt Scale)
• Operation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting of the above-listed systems.

Salary:
QAR 2278 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• 3 Years Regular Diploma or 2 Years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certification or equivalent experience
• Diploma in Electrical with three years of relevant experience or
• ITI in Electrical with six years of relevant experience
