Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a company within the oil and gas sector. Based near the industrial hub of Qatar, our client is undergoing business expansion and is looking to hire an Employee Relations Assistant / Officer.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be the main point of contact for employees and line managers dealing with day-to-day grievances or disciplinary cases in line with HR policies and procedures. You will also act as an Advisor across the business on various HR related matters. You will be expected to build effective channels of communication and implement processes to assist line managers and employees in understanding HR policies and procedures.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have at least 2 years HR generalist or employee relations experience. You should also have strong communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees within the business, from senior management to junior level. Extensive knowledge of local Qatar Labour Laws is essential for this role. Preference will be given to a locally based candidate who can provide an NOC. Due to visa restrictions, our client has stated a preference for a male candidate.
