Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's waterpark attraction The Icon Tower, the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.

Food Safety & Hygiene Manager

This position is responsible for maintenance/upgrade of sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure all food served to guests and employees is free of microbiological, chemical, and physical contamination and all work areas conform to required Hygiene and Sanitation levels.

What you will be doing:

- Ensure that the HACCP requirements and standards are met at all times throughout the Hotel;
- Monitor all waste by following hotel policies for waste management
- Supervise all Chemicals usage in the Food and Beverage department
- Conduct regular on-job training such as manual handling, equipment cleaning and operating (polishing cutlery machine), etc.,
- Conduct HACCP audit and implement the necessary corrective actions when required.
- Conduct and chair the FSS Monthly Meeting
- Responsible for effective and efficient maintenance of records related to the Hotel's sanitation and hygiene efforts/program
- Monitors, assists, and performs all procedures and protocols for maintaining excellent sanitation and hygienic environment
- Continually liaises with external agencies (laboratory, government bureau, health practitioners, etc.) on sanitary matters.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Minimum two to three years of work experience as Food Safety & Hygiene Manager in a hotel or similar large hotel/resort complex, preferable prerequisite is experience in the Hotel industry within Qatar.
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management and a degree in Food Science.
- Good computer skills. - Effective trainer, experienced in the delivery of skills training
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards Certifications
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) - ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System)/ Quality Management System ISO 9001
- OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System)
- Train the Trainers - Facilitator
- Environment Management System ISO 14001
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant accounting systems
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
