Foreman - Workshop

Job description / Role

Provide specialized technical / maintenance support and front line supervision for the safe, efficient and effective execution of work and to provide feedback regarding maintenance specific areas of work.

Key Accountabilities:
• Maintain / Repair assigned systems and equipment to prescribe standards and procedures and ensure to meet relevant KPIs of the department in terms of safety and execution.
• Provide input for the development of technical and maintenance systems and procedures that improve effectiveness.
• Provide work directions in assigned area and provide guidance and support to technicians and contract work force to help them carry out their duties to the required standard.
• Ensure technical knowledge is up to date to support effective and efficient performance.
• Assist supervisors in planning and follow-up section / unit work.
• Ensure the workplace is kept clean and work is carried out in full compliance with approved occupational health & safety procedures.

Requirements

• Required a two year technical / vocational program and 7 years direct maintenance experience of which 3 years’ experience as a Senior Technician within the oil and gas industry.
• Developed technical skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong knowledge of all discipline specific maintenance responsibilities developed through experiences, team leadership roles and formal training programs.
• Completion of secondary school, followed by vocational training program (TAFE)
