Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening mid-2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower, the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.

Front Office Supervisor

Responsible for coordinating and delegating assignments during designated shifts. Plans, directs, controls and coordinates the activities of specified areas, which includes guest room assignment, guest registration, guest services, recognition program, cashiering, luggage handling and concierge services. Ensures that mission statement is applied in his areas of responsibility at any time. In addition, controls room status in order to obtain the maximum room revenue with maximum occupancy with maximum service quality to provide maximum guest satisfaction.

What you will be doing:

- Always encourages and motivates his team aiming at exceeding customer expectation and keeps running and supporting training activities aiming at exceeding customer expectation.
- Is fully committed to keep a guest history helping the hotel to deliver consistent service quality up to the individual taste of our customer
- Supervises all activities of Front Desk Clerks and assigns duties as needed to the different areas within the department.
- Controls and follows up on room status for the current day.
- Builds up and coordinates the effective communication with HK on day-to-day operational matters.
- Verifies the morning and afternoon Housekeeping Room Discrepancy Report and follows up on discrepancies until these are finalized. Informs Manager for problem discrepancies.
- Ensures that back up reports is printed for each shift.
- Controls daily arrivals in the following detail.
- Performs and controls front office check and check out routines as per set policies and procedures based on the established task lists and control sheets. Conducts quality checks by using Check in and check out Evaluation forms. Enters Performance Tracking data.
- Ensures the circulation of memos and flow of information within the department.
- Ensures that daily "Trace Report" is completed signed and filed.
- Follows up on consumption of the printing and stationary and makes store requisition when necessary.
- Prepares weekly working schedule.
- Ensures the proper and prompt filing of the FO reports.
- Coordinates moving of filing to the archives (monthly and yearly).
- Updates FO information board as often as necessary.
- Performs, supervises and ensures that check-in & check-out for groups and individuals are carried out with maximum efficiency and courtesy.
- Controls all group files and individual registration information following check in.
- Follows up on the orientation and on the job training of the new hired staff and trainees.
- Represent FO management in the absence of Manager.
- Responsible for following up "Black List" and pointing out suspicious guests to the Security service and/or Credit Manager.
- Handles guest complaints on the spot concerning Front Desk Service and shares the information with other departments if necessary.
- Prepares handles and coordinates shift handovers and briefings.
- Promotes selling of high rated rooms.
- Knows and follows the fire and safety regulations of the hotel.
- Performs other duties assigned by his/her Manager.
- Is fully committed to achieve the set financial targets featured by financial monthly statements.
- Follows up and supports cross selling and up selling activities.
- Promotes selling of high rated rooms based on yield strategy guideline.
- Participates in budgeting and forecasting procedures.
- Takes responsibility in up keeping training manuals and back-office administration.
- Takes full responsibility in applying all set rules and regulation related to Health and Safety, Fire and Emergency as well as Guest/Employee and Data security.
- Always ensures fast and reliable communication in his team and with other departments.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Front Office Supervisor experience; past experience on administrative level is beneficial
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Ability to work from midnight to morning - Night Shift
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Proficient in Opera PMS and MS Office
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
