Description
- Responsible for implementing the underwriting philosophy and guidelines of the company and pricing products.
- Responsible for generating budgeted underwriting surplus in each class of business.
- Contribute to the development of relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Support growth in sales to facilitate delivery of overall business performance targets, key performance indicators.
- Evaluate the portfolio performance: financial, portfolio metrics, audit performance, claims performance.
- Develop and maintain underwriting manuals and pricing models; Pricing to be done considering individual risks. Provide Technical guidance.
- Seek opportunities for innovation in the design and development of products and procedures.
Job Offer
Circa 25 - 28,000 QAR per month + bonus
Requirements
- Ideally 10 to 15 years in general insurance
- University graduate essential, with certification in insurance (ACII or equivalent)
- Experience in leading a team
- Broad span of knowledge of Non Motor Insurance and Reinsurance
- Knowledge of business operations, business process & information flow
- Understanding of business practices, data management and reporting
- Experienced in negotiation, facilitation, problem solving and decision making at a senior level
- Knowledge and experience of the market, trends and opportunities
- Proficient computer skills
