Head of Purchase

Job description / Role

Role and key responsibilities:

- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies, craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
- Find/Locate vendors of materials or suppliers, and interview them in order to determine product availability
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
- Control purchasing department budget
- Review purchase order claims and contracts with conformance to company policy
- Analyze the market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract's management instructions, policies, and procedures
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Requirements

The Individual

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Electronics Engineering or related field;

Experience:
- At least 5 years in Purchase field, preferably with Lighting LED company
- Extensive knowledge of Qatar Market and good network with clients
- Starting to actively develop an understanding the factory products and develop purchasing system
- Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading and Writing) and Arabic knowledge is an addition
