Job description / Role
Our exclusive and esteemed client who has steadily grown to be the biggest bank and leading financial institution in the Middle East and North Africa Region with a market share around 45% of banking sector assets is seeking an experienced Strategy Manager for an in house role strategy formulation position.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Due diligence management for prospective M&A takeovers of smaller international financial institutions
- Strategy Development
- Market entry analysis management across emerging far east markets with a specific focus on growing asset wealth, private banking and retail banking business.
- A degree of execution / implementation management of highly complex, large scale, blue sky,, strategic initiatives related to takeovers, change management and M&A.
- You will be leading a team of highly astute banking strategist.
Requirements
- Candidates need to have astute academics and at least a Masters’ degree from top tier university.
- Candidates with an MBA from top tier university is preferred (ie. Insead, Harvard, LBS, Chicago Booth etc)
- Candidates should have at least 8 - 12 years’ professional experience with at least 4 years in a top tier Strategy house with a focus on the Strategy formulation for the Banking or FS sector. (Ie. Mckinsey, Bain, BCG, Strategy&, OW, ATK, Roland Berger) – ideally working at Engagement Manager level.
- Prior experience in new market entry analysis, commercial due diligence and corporate strategy development for the FS / banking environment is pre – requisite
- Candidates with mature markets experience are preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Strategy Formulation combined with Execution experience for highly complex strategic initiatives.
- Compensation on offer would be roughly 250k USD per annum when including the bonus
