Job description / Role

Role Objective:
The primary function of Home Stylist is to support the Project Department and store by promoting Home Styling services to our customers. The home stylist is responsible for attending to locations provided by our customers in order to put together the proposals, quotations and executing home styling projects. The Home Styling projects are completed as per the Decoration Standards of the Company.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
Financial:
• Support Operations and Project Manager in achieving the sales targets set
• Aid in sales maximization through supporting stores in promoting the items and design in the best and most effective way possible
• Maintain awareness of all current promotions in order to share details with customers and how to process them correctly at the point of sale
• Maintain an awareness of market trends, local and international competition, taking a proactive approach to keep the company as market leaders in home fashion image and display
• Liaise with customers on Home Styling projects by understanding their need, complete the mood board and close the sale.

Customer:
• Maintain up to date knowledge surrounding fabrics, textiles, woods and materials of furniture sold in the Store
• Maintain up to date knowledge of products, especially with regards to handling and care of the products, in addition to any special Features and Benefits (F.A.B’s)
• Follow all the guidelines for Home Styling projects by ensuring appropriate plans are in place to provide Home Styling Services to all our customers
• Act on feedback accumulated from customers to the Project Manager to allow the best home design service to be delivered
• Provide customers with the most inspirational shopping experience, aiding in differentiating our stores against competitors, to help retain and engage customer
• Capture accurate and valid customer information at the point of sale to support company’s new customer acquisition strategy and aid in customer retention
• Understand customer expectations and requests to deliver catered home styling solutions
• Ensure timeframes provided to customers are adhered to
• Work alongside the sales and warehouse teams to ensure goods provided to customers are of quality and are not damaged
• Make changes/amendments to style solutions at the request of the customer

Internal Business Processes:
• Maintain health and safety measures, in particular during any re-decoration or Home Styling projects where major work is being conducted
• Follow all the procedural guidelines for Home Styling projects by making sure appropriate plans are in place to provide Home Styling Services to all our customers
• Visit customer’s specified locations to ensure all work is carried out correctly and safely
• Ensure all communications are kept up to date, advising the Project Manager on the progress of all Home Styling projects
• Promote Home Styling programs for the business to potential customers through sharing the Home Stylist services
• Use computer software such as Illustrator, Auto CAD and Photoshop to produce professional proposal for clients
• Work collaboratively with the other stores to ensure a harmonious physical presentation is achieved
• Coordinate organization efforts with the After Sales Service to effectively communicate with the delivery of items
• Support stores during inventories and during events or store openings
• Ensure accurate measurements are taken utilizing the necessary tools and softwares to avoid any issues for proposals or execution of service
• Provide accurate and timely quotations, working alongside the relevant Departments each and every time
• Work alongside the sales and warehouse teams to ensure product availability and quality assurance, placing requests for orders if required
• Conduct a review of delivered home styling solutions to ensure complete customer satisfaction, but to also use for recommending any changes for efficient processes

Learning and growth:
• Network within the relevant industry to build relationships in order to obtain industry best practices and allow competitive advantage
• Grow in management aspect of role through displaying leadership qualities and taking accountability of more tasks as expertise increase

Requirements

Education Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design

Experience:
• 3-5 years experienced of home decoration, home design or event production experience
