Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening mid-2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a Souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower, is the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 meters in height.

Hostess - Hotel

The responsibilities of a Hostess include greeting guests, providing accurate wait times, and escorting customers to the dining and bar areas. For this role, you should have solid organizational and people skills to make sure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work in shifts along with given proper uniform as per company standards.

Ultimately, you'll ensure we provide excellent customer service and a pleasant dining experience to our guests.

The Hostess will also be responsible for taking payment, interacting with guests, and making a good impression on our guests. Also, keep the hygiene of the hostess desk, and surrounding.

This role requires the ability to work at a fast pace standing for, walking for extended periods, working outdoors, and ensuring a professional appearance.

What you will be doing:

- Welcome guests to the venue and consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
- Greet guests upon their departure.
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists to assist guests regarding all food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way.
- Manage reservations.
- Have full knowledge of food and beverages list and promotions.
- Escort the guest to dining or bar areas.
- Provide menus and announce the waiter /waitress's name follow outlets policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when communicating with the guests.
- Maintain a clean reception area.
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly).
- Answer incoming calls and address guest's queries.
- Replying E-mails.
- Send a daily guest's cover at the end of the shift.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the hostess area and hostess equipment.
- Take pride in offering our guests diverse selections of seasonally inspired food and beverage menus and a warm conversation.
- To use equipment in accordance with training and instruction received as defined as set out in standard operating procedures.
- To assist in other areas of the outlet, such as cleaning up, shelf stocking, or keeping items displayed in and orderly manner.
- To be responsible for the cash float (if needed) throughout the shift and ensuring it balances correctly at the conclusion of the shift as set out in the standard operating procedures.
- To be responsible for remitting the daily sales to cash out control as set out in the standard operating procedures.
- To adhere to the company's overage & shortage policy as set out in the standard operating procedures.
- To perform any additional tasks/duties that are assigned by the management team.
- Adhere to all emergency procedures, ensuring Guest safety and participating in an evacuation if necessary.
- To display a friendly, helpful, and cheerful attitude while communicating efficiently with our guests and fellow colleagues to support Rixos Qetaifan Island Strategy and Values.
- To always represent and promote Rixos Qetaifan Island in a positive manner to maintain a professional brand image to all concerned stakeholders.
- Engage each guest as unique individual and listen attentively to their requests.
- To enforce and adhere to all Qatar laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management to minimize risk and maintain a clean safe, and hygienic environment for all guest and colleagues.
- To attend briefing, trainings, and development programs to promote personal career growth.
- Always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the management.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- High School Diploma
- Food Safety Certificate
- Previous Hostess experience preferred
- The point-of-sale system experiences an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
