Job description / Role
Objective: To conduct and process Recruitment, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations and HR Development initiatives within the Group HR function.
Main responsibilities:
Conducts and / or coordinates Group recruiting activities
Researches, develops and implements new initiatives to increase the pool of qualified candidates and implements improvements to processes and tools
Develops relationships with candidates, recruiters, associations, and advertisers to create a diverse and qualified applicant pool
Administers performance review process
Coordinates probation service process
Coordinates employee separation process including exit interviewing
Coordinates promotion process
Administers employee benefits such as life insurance, medical schemes, etc.
Coordinates and administers Employee Satisfaction Survey
Administers and succession planning process
Reporting to : Group Human Resources and Training Manager
Subordinates : None
Other interactions : All ABA Group Employees, HR Vendors (i.e. Recruitment Agencies, Executive Search Firms, HR Consultants), Hotels/Conference facility employees

Duration : Open Contract
Desired start date : February 1st, 2006
Probation : 3 months
Working hours : Sun-Thursday 7:30am-6:30pm with a 2 hour lunch break
Travel requirements : occasional travel within country
Gross monthly base salary : Qatari Riyals 7100 inclusive of housing and transportation
Commission / Bonus : As per standard company policy
Other Benefits : 30 days annual leave, annual tickets and mobile allowance
Requirements
Education / Qualifications:
Business Degree from a recognized University (Language of instruction must be English)
3 – 5 years experience in the field of HR / Recruitment and Comp & Bens
Thorough knowledge of recruitment activities
Experience in the administration of compensation & benefits
Exposure to General HR / Personnel administration with a medium to large company
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to research information and analyze data to make valid conclusions and recommendations
Proficient in exercising considerable judgment and discretion in maintaining good working relationships
Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with all levels of employees regarding various HR issues
Ability to think critically and to troubleshoot
Excellent in oral / written communication (English) and presentation skills.
Skillful with computers (MS Suite) with sound organization skills
Ability to uphold confidential information
Desirable Competencies
MBA / PGR in HR / HR Certification
Knowledge of behavioral and competency based interviewing techniques
Knowledge of structured Job Evaluation methodologies (i.e. Hay, etc.)
Exposure to Qatari Labor Laws / Gulf business practices
