Insurance Manager - Petroleum Products Shipping
The insurance manager will report into the legal director. Your primary remit will be to analyze, monitor and administer the company's insurance policies to insure liabilities and risk are insured appropriately. You'll also have responsibility for all company assets, projects, and joint ventures.
Key accountabilities include:
* Insurance Portfolio Management
* Tender Evaluation
* Policy Management
* Claims Handling
* Risk Analysis
In addition, you will have leadership responsibilities for the team reporting to you, as well as input in to divisional strategy and management.
The role offers a hugely competitive salary and benefits package, including 35+ days paid vacation, annual flights, family status and schooling allowances.
The client is looking for a candidate with extensive experience in Maritime Insurance, preferably in-house with an Oil & Gas operating company or transportation company. A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with at least half of this spent in a managerial role. A masters degree in either a legal or maritime subject is required, and demonstrated further education and certification in the field of marine insurance is strongly preferred. Please note that there are various visa restrictions in the state of Qatar, and in order for candidates to successfully process their application, they must conform to these.
