Interface Engineer - RLN

Job description / Role

Under the responsibility of the Electrical Manager, the candidate will:
- Manage and co-ordinate all Contractor's inter-functional and vendor interfaces during detailed design and construction through to commissioning of the MEP Works
- Ensure that the contractor is coordinating  all internal interfaces.
- Monitor Engineering/Procurement/Construction/Commissioning internal interfaces (MEP Work Contractor's scope) on the project
- Review and assess Electrical and Mechanical (SEM) Drawing
- Organization and conduction of weekly internal interface meetings / tracking completion of agreed actions
- Review and assess interface management system/procedure provided by Contractor and revise it as and when necessary
- Work with the project team to address and mitigate interface issues
- Identify potential interface issues that may result in variation orders
- Other duties as requested by direct Manager

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years' experience in managing project interface issues in railway projects;
- Experience in working in multicultural environment involving various vendors and contractors;
- Multi discipline engineering experience in Rail Systems, Civil Works - Structure, Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing,
- University degree in engineering or construction industry;
- Knowledge of project delivery processes and techniques, good understanding of engineering and construction activities sequencing;
- High standard of written and spoken English
