Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to Qatargas' Chief Internal Auditor (CIA), the Audit Advisor will be a key member of the Internal Audit Department (IAD) Management Team and play a pivotal role in governance activities, development of IAD strategy and planning, implementation of internal audit best practices, audit process development and quality control to ensure all audits are performed in accordance with IIA Standards and to the highest professional level. Position will also be responsible for providing assistance to the CIA in the development of high level presentations for the Board, Board Audit Committee and Senior Management.

Requirements

• Chartered or Certified Public Accountant and Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors
• Extensive experience and proven track record of successful internal audit management in the Oil & Gas Industry
• Familiar with risk based auditing process and ability to perform high level critique of audit activities and to coach and mentor audit staff to deliver high quality audit results and reports
• Detailed understanding of Control Concepts, Business Practice Standards, Oil & Gas Operations and Finance, Administration and Marketing functions
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of Board Audit Committee roles and responsibilities
• Must have excellent interpersonal and team building skills, with ability to multi-task and deal with Management / staff at all levels
• Detailed understanding of IIA Standards, COSO, COBIT and ERM
• Must have exceptional report writing and presentation skills
• Knowledge of TeamMate audit software and ACL an advantage
