International Tax Manager - Qatar

A very unique opportunity has arisen for an international tax manager to provide specialist advisory services within the international tax department of a professional services firm based in Doha, Qatar. This is a newly created position as a result of recent changes and developments within the international tax market. It is a very commercial role with excellent exposure to providing strategic solutions to an exceptional client portfolio. You will be working as part of a large tax team of 45 people, reporting into Tax Partners.

Responsibilities
* Advising Qatari and International companies on the various regional and international tax implications of their operations
* Participating in International Tax Engagements
* Aligning operational model requirements with tax planning, to achieve sustainable client benefits
* Managing engagements by organising staff, tracking fees and liaising with clients and Tax Partners

Requirements

4 to 5 years experience in International Tax within a Big 4 or large global consulting firm. Western experience essential along with a CTA or equivalent professional qualification.

* ACA/CPA/CTA Qualification essential
* At least 4 years experience in International Tax, ideally coming from a Big 4 Consulting firm
* Western experience essential along with Outbound Tax experience
* Experience of working with Financial Services clients is desirable, however demonstrating a strong interest in the area, backed up with relevant experience within International Tax, will be considered
* Strong client driven commercial awareness and technical ability
* Excellent managerial, organisational, project management and analytical skills
* Experience of leading and working in teams
* Outstanding communication (both spoken and written) and people skills
