Position Overview

The Junior Landscape Architect will assist in the planning, design and draft landscape architectural work from concept through construction. The candidate will have excellent verbal and communication skills in addition to strong graphics to be able to organize and present their ideas. They will have the ability to handle assignments from multiple project managers and able to meet extreme deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently performs a wide variety of conventional and moderately-complex assignments by applying landscape architecture design standards, practices, and techniques which requires a fundamental knowledge of the landscape, planting and irrigation design, and aesthetics.
• The incumbent at this level regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs, is proficient in the utilization of standard landscape architectural techniques.
• Develops design solutions and prepares high-quality presentation drawings, renderings, 3D models and animations.
• Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting landscape architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing related reports.
• Provides technical guidance to CADD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Prepares technical packages from concept design, through detailed design to tender and contract documentation.
• Provides support and production assistance to team members
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Landscape Architecture, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years relevant landscape design experience.
• Preferably with work experience in UAE.
• Proficient in using Rhino, 3D Studio Max, Grasshopper and other related 3D design and graphic software.
• Proficient in utilizing AutoCAD, Adobe CS, and SketchUp.
