Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a project power company on a combined cycle gas turbine plant. Our client is looking to hire a Lab Technician.
You will perform routine and specialised chemical and physical tests and interpret the results in order to compile reports, monitor, control and meet recommendations to achieve the optimum chemical conditions, both for the current operation and to maintain the integrity of the power and water plant processes over the longer term.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a detailed understanding of the chemical and environmental matters associated with the operation of a combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment. You should have a good chemistry or chemical engineering foundation and practical knowledge of how it applies to modern power plant and desalination plant technologies. You should also have a chemical related diploma and at least 3 years' experience in a similar role. Due to visa restrictions on the plant, our client has stated a preference for nationals from the Philippines, Turkey, Tunisia, Indonesia or Europe.
