Legal Assistant / Paralegal - Qatar
Retail and Wholesale
Our client, a leading group of companies with diversified business interests, is currently experiencing further expansion and growth and they are now seeking a Legal Assistant/Paralegal to assist with carrying out the day to day law functions required in their company office.
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Attend any negotiations with 3rd parties as instructed by his/her Manager.
- Coordinating and working with paralegals for keeping structured and complete file indexes and case files.
- Proofreading legal documents.
- Prepare responses to complaints and discovery requests.
- Responsible for carrying out a variety of day to day functions in a law/company office such as meeting with clients, assisting attorneys, doing research work, and filing various documents.
- Draft and prepare corporate charter documents, partnership agreements and limited liability document.
- Supports the Legal Counsel to prepare for any court hearings and, under direction, prepare court pleadings for filing with the court.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law from a recognized University with a minimum of 2 years professional experience from a law firm, as a legal assistant or comparable.
- Experience working in Qatar, with good knowledge of Qatari law is preferred.
- Experience in commercial and company law is required.
- Experience working in the retail industry will be highly regarded.
- Exceptional communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Bilingual language skills in English and Arabic are required.
