Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Legal Manager is responsible for providing high-level legal expertise and strategic guidance to the organization. As part of the Legal team, he/she shall play a crucial role in overseeing complex legal matters, ensuring corporate compliance, drafting and managing contracts, closely following up with external law firms on pending litigation/arbitration, and navigating regulatory landscapes to support the company's growth and align both legal and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice and counsel to the organization's leadership on various legal matters related to corporate operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the interests of the company and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards, advising on necessary actions to maintain compliance.
• Manage legal disputes, including overseeing litigation and arbitration, working with external legal counsel, and representing the company’s interests in negotiations, settlements, and court hearings.
• Provide legal support in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions, conducting due diligence and ensuring that all legal aspects are addressed and all risks are mitigated.
• Assess legal risks and work proactively to minimize these risks within the organization, advising on risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct legal due diligence for potential business partnerships, investments, or acquisitions, providing comprehensive reports to inform decision-making.
• Effectively communicate legal strategies and issues to all stakeholders, both internal and external, fostering understanding and cooperation.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Law.
• Bar Affiliation is a plus.
• Master’s Degree in Law is a plus.

Experience

• 06-08 years of experience in corporate legal advisory, depending on academic qualification.

Skills

• Comprehensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of local, corporate and international law, its procedures and the applicable statutory requirements and standards.
• Comprehensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of the regulations pertaining to publicly listed entities including QFMA and QSE rules.
• Demonstrated sound legal reasoning and ability to gather material facts and conduct professional legal research.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Excellent business communication, Collaboration and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Presentable and organized individual with excellent planning skills.
• Critical, analytical and strategic thinking.
• Results-oriented and agile mind-set
