Charterhouse is working with a leading bank who is looking to hire a Legal Manager with solid Investment Banking experience and fluent in Arabic.

As Legal Manager, you will take the lead role managing the legal department which has a small team and report directly to the CEO regarding all legal issues and legal regulations that will impact the operation, commercial and financial position of the bank. You will be responsible for advising on all legal aspects of transactions as well as drafting and reviewing various agreements such as loan, non-disclosure, inter-creditor and shareholder agreements; liaising with external legal counsel to prepare documentation, reviewing these and negotiating with the client and their legal representatives to finalize the agreements. Additionally, you will handle all legal opinion work, advice on lending and project finance along with funding and investment advice.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 11-12 years' PQE and 5-6 years' experience within a reputable bank. You should possess strong knowledge of banking laws ideally in the GCC and be fluent in Arabic and English. LLM or MBA would be an advantage.
