Job description / Role
Linum Consult’s client is a major international construction and engineering consultancy. They are currently seeking a Logistics Manager to be involved on a significant highway construction project in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Developing, monitoring, and updating the Project Logistics Management Plan
• Interfacing with the Operations and Logistics & Asset Management Team to ensure the coordination and implementation of logistics works is in line with the project’s deliverables
• Supervising the logistics supply contractors
• Ensuring that the Contractors’ logistics management plans are in line with the requirements of the Project Logistics Management Plan
• Supporting the Construction Supervisors and Contractors to resolve any procurement and supply chain issues
• Liaising consistently with the Engineering Team to assist in the development of design solutions that promote constructability and logistical requirements
• Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the construction supervisors and contractors
Requirements
PROFILE
• Bachelor’s degree qualification in Logistics, Construction or similar subject
• 10 years of post-graduate experience in a Logistics role for a civil engineering or infrastructure construction project, such as roads, bridges, or utilities.
• Experience of designing and implementing road diversions or traffic management schemes
• Fluency in English, with any Arabic language skills strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and team management skills
