Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Performing contract reviews at the front end, pre-contract.
• Negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients pre-contract.
• Establishing budgets post contract.
• Managing the procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Supervising the QS team to ensure valuations are performed timely and thoroughly. Chasing up certification and payment from the consultants and clients.
• Establishing contract administration procedures bespoke to the projects and making sure they are followed throughout the project duration.
• Providing hands on drafting support for contractual letters, disputed variation narratives and EOT claims.
• Negotiating with clients and consultants to maximize value on the projects.
• Mentoring of the QS team.
• CVR reviews for each of the projects within the business.
• Preparing consolidated commercial reports for the business and presenting to management in head office.

Salary:
QAR 40,000 to 50,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Western educated with a degree as minimum in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 10 years experience in a Commercial/QS role.
• Gulf or Qatar experience is not essential but preferred.
• Experience managing a number of QSs over multiple projects.
• Fit-out experience will definitely be beneficial but a Main Contracting background would suffice. However, managing multiple projects at once and coping with the fast track nature of fit-out will need to be demonstrated.
