Marine Specialist

Job description / Role

• Identify and manage any risks and opportunities that are relevant to the project
• Prepare executive presentations
• Check, monitor and advise the Authority on Consultant’s and Contractor’s activities associated with the delivery of the project
• Review marine method statements and related reports, calculations, designs and issues, and comment/accept on behalf of the Authority
• Liaise with project teams, design consultant, supervision consultants and contractors, to proactively monitor and identify opportunities to improve the delivery of the project
• Perform other specialist tasks as directed by the Authority

Requirements

• Delivered and managed port operations in the capacity of Marine Specialist
• Engineering Degree from a recognized university relevant to the role
• Experience of coordination with the port authorities and environmental authorities
• Experience of working in the Middle East/Gulf
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Spoken and/or written Arabic language is an advantage
