Job description / Role
Duties:
• Supports the Logistics Manager in the implementation and updating of the Project Logistics Management Plan.
• Interfaces within the Operations and Logistics Management Team to ensure coordination and implementation of logistics works is in line with and supports the overall allocated project deliverables.
• Support the Supervising Consultants and Construction Contractors to resolve procurement and supply chain issues.
• Carry out periodic monitoring of Logistics delivery against approved Project Scientific Logistics Plans and on QHSE issues.
• Check and Monitors the quality of materials procured under the Expressway programme procurement initiatives.
• Assist Consultants and Contractors in resolving material issues.
Requirements
• Knowledge of operational aspects of civil & infrastructure projects including roads, bridges and utilities (experience in construction management and practice an advantage)
• Experience of Road construction materials a positive advantage.
• Experience of material testing mechanisms and ability to interpret results.
• Experience and skills of managing consultants and contractors.
• 3 years post graduate or 3 years relevant experience (for non graduates)
• BSc or HND in related subject or equivalent relevant construction experience
• Fluency in English language both written and spoken. Arabic (An advantage)
