Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Working with and showing leadership to site MEP activities, building services engineering design and co-ordination at site MEP activities. Continuous coordination with Project Managers and all other managers/Engineers for MEP activities to ensure timely completion as per project schedule and technical requirements.

- Manage and lead MEP subcontractors throughout duration of the project
- Ensure successful achievement of project mission statement and goals and be responsible for all day-to-day activities.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling of all major site MEP activities of the Project to achieve timely completion of the Project.
- Test Witnessing of, BMS, Electrical / Mechanical services, Fire alarm and CCTV services to make sure they meet the Code requirements and the client / designer satisfaction
- To ensure the timely submittal of all project submittals and obtaining approvals. (Samples, Shop Drawings, Design Details, Work Procedure, Method Statements, Schedules, Programs etc.)
- To arrange timely obtaining of all clearances, approvals, permissions, etc as may require from time to time from any of the statutory authorities during the execution of the Project.
- To schedule and plan all project activities in line with Master Program in Coordination with the Planning Engineer and Planning and scheduling of resources (material, manpower etc.)
- To evaluate the requirement of all project resources (materials, machinery, Manpower) as per schedule and arrange for the availability of the same.
- Prepare periodic reports for Project Management including variance / change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities & safety records
- Preparing Schedules & Commissioning Program for all the building services aspects
- Producing the Design Feasibility Study and providing technical advice
- To attend all project related meeting with Engineer/Main Contractor and reporting back to the Project Manager

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Above 10 Years of experience in MEP industry. In which 3-4 years must be in managerial role in Qatar/Gulf countries.
- Experience of local/Gulf utilities rules, regulations and design guides
- UPDA, QCDD, KAHRAMA certificates required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and document collaboration systems preferred
- Experience of working on major projects
- Understanding of British, American and International design and construction
- Understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles and systems is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, excel and Power Point)
- Excellent communication skill in both written and spoken English. Report writing skill is very essential.
