Job description / Role
Purpose:
The position is responsible for monitoring of Planning & Cost Control activities within Maintenance Division; monitor the project validation; monitor project health with respect to progress, efficiency, revenue and cost, evaluate project risks, facilitate in PMS systems, anticipate future trends, Support BD by developing proposals for suitable leads for new ventures and market development, WITH the objective to suggest an appropriate and actionable plans for the division, provide facilitation and actionable insights and suggestions, raise flags in a timely manner, provide mitigation measures, help protect the reputation of the organization, help raise Maintenance division up in the value chain WITHIN the limits of the corporate and Divisions’ policies, procedures, assigned mandate, Planning & Execution manual and project management principles
Planning, Monitoring & Cost Control
Ensure Planning, monitoring and cost control functions are implemented and managed according to quality and performance standards so that all activities are completed within the allocated timeframes and budget; Review and monitor baselines, LF plans and milestones for the project from mobilization through Close-out phases and offer recommendations and suggestions, analyze budget, forecasts and BCTCs for projects; propose opinions on the reports of variance analysis, ensure focus on cost and revenue targets at project sites; Compare resource utilization (man power, materials and equipment) with the budget; ensure that risk identification and mitigating measures are being taken at project sites; share reports on measured KPI's regarding progress, efficiency and financial health of the projects with Site Managers, Project Managers, Operations Managers, and BU Head; Raise flags and suggest solutions; Acquire updates on general activities going on at sites; Follow up on contractual issues; Follow-up for preparation and archive of Project Close-out Report at project completion.
Business Understanding:
Understanding of Engineering/Construction industry with a focus towards Construction, Commercial and Contracts
Requirements
• Education: BE Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 14 years Plus. With some major Maintenance Shutdowns Experience in the GCC (Essential)
• Computer Skills: Primavera P6.
• General Skills & Abilities: Analytical Approach.
• PMP Certification would be a plus.
• Contract negotiations / administration.
• Team Building, Negotiation skills
