Primary Head of Mathematics

This is an exciting time to be part of GEMS Wellington School - Qatar (WSQ). We are looking for an inspirational Primary Head of Maths who will work collaboratively with c lass teachers, phase leaders, secondary department heads and SLT. We seek a practitioner with a genuine enthusiasm and expertise in Maths who can lead an engaging curriculum of excellence for all primary year groups.

In addition to carrying out the professional duties of a class teacher (on a reduced timetable), the Primary Head of Maths will be responsible for the leadership of an outstanding primary Maths Curriculum, ensuring all our children make excellent progress in Maths through key leadership actions. They will also model excellence in their day-to-day practice.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

- The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a British Curriculum School and have current experience in middle leadership or ready to take on their first leadership role.
- They will also have an appropriate teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status. This role is not suitable for ECTs.
