Job description / Role
Purpose: Point of contact for procurement activities by ensuring that all policies and procedures are following as per company policy and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering the projects procurement process.
- Assist with developing the procurement strategy and a pool of candidate vendors and suppliers for consideration for the related projects.
- Adhere to procurement and contract management instruction, policies and procedures and identify are of improvement.
- Adhere to policies for project suppliers and third party contractors and identify areas for improvements.
- Support the competitive bidding and selection process
- Assist with the monitoring of contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assist with vendor and contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
- Maintain records of deliverables completed and received.
- Keep Abreast of New legislation, government policies, best practice and external factors relevant to procurement and contracting activity.
- Support the financial and contact negotiations
- Proceed procurement order, solicit request for proposal and review requisitions for goods and services.
- Analyse price proposals, financial reporting and other date and information to determine reasons prices for review.
- Analyse and identify internal and external cost drivers and develop saving opportunities and benchmarking of industry standards and practices for review.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, business or Commerce
- Relevant professional Qualification or charted status to procurement.
- Minimum of 12 years experience in Purchasing / procurement
- Knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, activities and trends.
- Experience Developing contract and relationships with Vendors.
- Experience in the rail / metro industry.
- Experience working with FIDIC forms of contracts.
- Experience with basic contracting principles such as tendering, subcontracting and
Outsourced management.
- Experience drafting contract document across various stage of project lifecycles.
