Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role reports to the Group Production Manager and will work under the guidance of the Group Production Manager.

• Oversee the production process in the group production units (both Digital and Offset) and work closely with the Group Production Manager ,as it pertains to printing projects for communication needs.
• Research and implement best-of-class services, prices and technologies.
• Timely, cost-effective production, consultation and decision making for the products in consultation with Group production Manager.
• Manage the overall production cycle of standard, repeatable, templated and high volume printed projects/requests.
• Oversee the production process ,under the guidance of the group production manager, which includes: production workflow, confirmation from internal business partner regarding print specifications, quality control reviews and press inspections, providing day-to-day technical direction to suppliers regarding print requests, and matching print samples.
• Engage in projects that require advertising.
• Use project tracking systems for production.
• Responsible for providing end-to-end project management support for collateral that is typically print, reprinted material, or Print On Demand.
• Responsible for participating in project kick-offs hosted by Project Management.
• Provide project updates, providing cost-effective alternative printing solutions, coordinate postage and handling (as required), transfers files to vendor for production as well as coordinating delivery schedules.
• Provides metrics that assist Business Partners in decision making for marketing strategies or process changes.
• Provide back-up support for other Production Consultants.
• Train, and work closely with supervisors and staff.
• Manage and optimize internal workflow to ensure and increase productivity.
• Keep current with new industry developments and make recommendations for changes in production design, specifications, or machine additions to better achieve short and long-range goals.
• Troubleshoot production issues and defects to determine root cause and circumvent bottleneck issues. Manage escalation issues as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
• Assisting in the documentation, estimating and planning confidential work
• Coordinating color reviews with internal teams and external partners
• Advises the teams on optimal ways to leverage production technology
• Anticipates and resolves technical issues and production details
• Routes and reviews pages and proofs; directs photograph color correction; completes press checks to monitor print and manufacturing quality and resolve manufacturing problems.
• Manage and oversee the print production and the installation process during different scale of events.
• Manage the installation teams on ground to ensure high productivity and efficiency during tight installation schedules.
• Participate in client’s meetings with client servicing teams when required to provide technical input for major projects.

Requirements

• University degree.
• At least 5+ years of professional experience in the communications, printing, or publishing fields, specifically print production or print buying experience in a high-volume environment.
• Experience with regulatory literature distribution and vendor management.
• Procurement system experience.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
• Detail oriented and highly motivated proactive team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and fast paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on MS Excel and Access.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe package (Photoshop, Illustator, Indesign, Acrobat)
• Solid knowledge of digital and offset machines process and techniques.
• Problem solving and issue resolution skills.
