Job description / Role
Client is an Engineering Consult based in Qatar are seeking a Project Director to join them for a large-scale buildings project.
The Project Director is responsible for directing and managing all operations and keeping the Employer fully aware regarding all aspects of the operations. Given the specified duration for construction of the project, the PD shall exercise all efforts to ensure that the schedule for execution of the works developed by the Contractor is maintained rigorously throughout the duration of the construction period.
The Project Director shall direct and manage the entire construction process to ensure that the requirements of the Employer are achieved. The PD’s goal shall be to provide the necessary human resources and management systems to ensure that the Project is executed and delivered on time, within budget and to the high standard of quality demanded by the design and specification
The Project Director provides leadership to the Project Team, monitor, administer, coordinate and manage the performance of the Consultants, Contractors, suppliers, utility providers and statutory authorities, throughout the project packages associated with design, procurement, construction, quality assurance and control, progress, cost control, programme control, Contract and Site Administration, Risk assessment, Healthy Safety and Environmental (HSE) Protection, Security Systems, Testing and Commissioning, Completion and Initial Operation of the Project.
Requirements
The Project Director Shall have B.Sc. degree in Architectural Engineering with experience in the design, construction management and operation of similar works with a Project Management Professional Certificate or equivalent and have a minimum of Twenty (20) years relevant experience.
The candidate shall have excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Arabic.
