Employment: Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director with a proven track record in successfully delivering complex airport projects. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project life cycle, from planning and design to execution and handover. Your expertise in airport construction and management will be instrumental in driving the project to completion while ensuring adherence to budget, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead and direct the project team in all stages of the project life cycle, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Implement project management methodologies and procedures to effectively manage resources and deliverables.
• Contract Management: Oversee the administration of construction contracts, including managing variations, claims, payments, and final accounts. Negotiate and close out final accounts with contractors and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and mitigate potential risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Collaborate with project partners to address project challenges, resolve disputes, and achieve project objectives. Present project updates and reports to international management and provide guidance on region-specific challenges.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage potential commercial and operational risks throughout the project. Develop strategies to minimize cost overruns and maximize recovery. Implement risk mitigation measures to ensure project success.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support to project managers, engineers, and other team members. Promote effective communication and teamwork.
• Procurement and Contract Packaging: Develop and implement procurement strategies and contract packaging for major airport programs. Ensure compliance with project delivery methods, including Design-Build, Bid and Built, BOOT, and Public Private Partnerships (PPP). Review and approve procurement documents and tender submissions.
• Health, Safety, and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project. Implement quality assurance measures to achieve high-quality project deliverables. Promote a safety-first culture on the project site.
• Financial Management: Monitor project costs, budgets, and financial forecasts. Conduct regular cost/value analysis and provide accurate reporting to the main board of directors. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure financial objectives are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Project Management or relevant discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, specifically in airport construction projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex airport projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of airport construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage tight timelines, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Professional certifications in project management or relevant fields are a plus.
