Job description / Role
An established group in Qatar is seeking a Project Manager to direct, manage and oversee the execution and delivery of retail project in Qatar.
The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating the appointment of the contractor and will be accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of the projects through statutory approvals and Operator handover. As the owners representative, the Project Manager will be accountable for ensuring the Owner's and Operator's requirements related to quality, programme and cost are achieved.
This role will report direct into the Managing Director and will work closely with international luxury and mass fashion brands as well as mall operators.
Requirements
* A minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience
* Holds a degree in either architecture or design
* GCC experience is preferred however not essential
* Delivering projects in the luxury retail sector, advising and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders
* Familiarity with Qatari Statutory requirements including Civil Defence and Municipal Approvals would be preffered
* A strong understanding of retail store fit-out construction principles
* Relevant tertiary education in construction management, project management, engineering or architecture
* Depth of knowledge in program and project planning, scheduling and budgeting, interior and base building construction techniques, operational readiness, and contract admin
* Experience with the preparation of Requests for Proposals, Tenders and Tender closing/award procedures
* Excellent English written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
