Our team is growing and we are currently seeking for Project Managers that will be based in Doha, Qatar. The incumbent will report functionally to the Project Director.
Louis Berger seeks talented Project Managers for an iconic high-rise project in Qatar with the aim to deliver world class project PMCM services and lead the project to a complete success.
This landmark project consists of 4 high-rise towers ranging from G+55 up to G+80 floors with multilevel underground car parking and services. The project is a high end specifications and details with site and landscape themes. It will also host an underground train station and an underpass for the highway.
As Project Manager, you will manage the design and construction of one tower and oversee the project life cycle during Pre and Post contract phases from concept up to completion and handing over, you will monitor/control and perform by maximizing the benefits of the available resources to meet the project scope, budget, schedule, quality to client expectations.
• Manage project activities including all on site related construction activities.
• Build and maintain the necessary communication channels among project team members to the clients, suppliers, and Company Management.
• Prepare in coordination with the Project Engineer and the Planning Manager the initial construction schedule.
• Ensure that work is progressing according to schedule.
• Update the Project Director on the progress of all projects under his control and provide him with a construction monthly report to compare construction progress according to schedule. Liaise with the Contract Administrator on contract and sub contract requirements relating to his projects.
• Perform in coordination with the Planning Manager, periodic review analysis of project costs, schedules, progress, and other relevant data and submits a report on his findings to the Program Manager.
• Ensure the upholding of work safety regulations at site.
• Ensure the application of company stated policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Project Director on the progress of the project
Requirements
Applicants must belong to a professional entity (PE/C.E/MMUP) and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture. Our recruitment team will also rank your communication skills, knowledge of work trades and high rise program, problems solving capability, alignment of project technical and cost objectives and finally your ability to elicit cooperation from project director and other project management’s team members.
The applicant must have at least 15 years’ experience mainly in high rise projects and with the last 6 years as a project manager. Furthermore, the applicant must have worked in any world-class projects
