Job description / Role
We are looking for a Risk Management Lead to work on one of our major projects in Qatar.
The main duties of the Risk Management Lead include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the risk management framework across the program, supporting risk management governance acrossQatar Rail
- Responsible for facilitating monthly program risk workshops
- Responsible for facilitating monthly project risk escalation workshops
- Responsible for the administration and enhanced configuration of the ARM database
- Responsible for leading the risk management forum with risk professions within Qatar Rail to promote learning andenhanced knowledge sharing
- Responsible for conducting Risk Management awareness and software training throughout Program
- Responsible for supporting the Corporate Risk Management Team in the enhancement and deployment of the RiskManagement Policy, framework, process and procedures
- Responsible for interfacing with and supporting the PMO change management team by ensuring risks are identified andassessed to enable risk based decisions
- Responsible for supporting the procurement process by taking account of lessons learnt from previous procurementactivities
- Responsible for the communication of lessons learned to ensure immediate deployment of risk treatment activities tominimise risks materialising on similar projects
- Responsible for supporting external stakeholders with the development of Qatar National Risk Treatment strategies /activities
- Responsible for conducting risk based audits to provide assurance that project teams are implementing the RiskManagement Framework and are in control of their risks
- Responsible for supporting the procurement and customisation of Risk Management tools primarily ARM, OPRA andPMIS
- Responsible for interfacing with the Qatar Rail commercial team in support of the insurance processes specifically withregards to risk treatment effectiveness
- Responsible for interfacing with all relevant parties within the PMO to provide risk cost contingency.
- Responsible for the provision of recommendations to CPO with respect to risk mitigation measures
- Responsible for risk analysis and monitoring and reporting of mitigation measures
- Responsible for carrying out qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, including risk sensitivity analysis, at Program level
- Responsible for providing risk input for Program reporting.
- Responsible for promoting a learning and risk awareness culture consistent with Qatar Rail Vision, Mission, Values and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline
- 15+ yrs of relevant experience in engineering and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Risk Management processes on medium to large scale projects essential
- Experience of Risk Management software, e.g. ARM essential
