Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Manage, guide and motivate RMC zone team members to deliver area/zone objectives, ensure they work safely and comply with all Client policies, procedures and regulations.
• Oversee junior and senior RMC Operators day to day operation of the corridors in their RMC Zone/Area,
• Provide technical expertise and support to Senior RMC Supervisor on opportunities to sustain and improve levels of service to customers and other stakeholders.
• Support and liaise with other RMC zones/areas, tunnels operations and other relevant Department Sections for successful delivery of Roads Management Centre unit outcomes.
• Ensure that processes, procedures and systems relating to the RMC zone/area are suitable and that agreed processes and procedures are being followed and complied with.
• Support the RMC Procedures and Processes Manager to ensure best practice, accuracy of reporting and information, and continuous improvement of RMC services.
• Support the performance measurement of RMC operations, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve performance in their RMC Zone/Area.
• Support the Senior RMC Supervisor in managing any escalated events or incidents.
• Provide on-call support when not on duty and will be available 24/7 to support major and critical incidents whenever they might occur.
• Escalate appropriate issues and risks to the Senior RMC Supervisor.
• Work with Incident Support contractors and their teams, Zone Framework contractors, Client Customer Service, Tunnels Control Room Managers and Road Corridor Management Office teams in support of safe and effective roads and tunnels network operations and management.
• Support the management of incidents outside of normal hours.
• Coordinate the deployment of severe weather response plans keeping the Senior RMC Supervisor updated on conditions, issues and actions taken.
• Prepare response plans and mitigation plans for major events and coordinate the readiness testing.
• Coordinate with operational partners and stakeholders such as the MOI and Emergency Services. Work to encourage information sharing between parties, thus promoting delivery of up to date and accurate information about current and future operational conditions.
• Support best practice identification and implementation. Support knowledge and resource sharing with stakeholders and across functions in order to support Client policies.
• Hold regular performance meetings to engage staff and contractors with changes taking place and ensure relevant business performance information and expectations are shared.
• Ensure adherence to Quality, Health and Safety and Environment Policy and Procedures within the workplace and comply with any new work instructions.
• Perform other duties/ tasks as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher-level qualification in a relevant subject.
• Holder of current/valid Qatar Driving License.
• Minimum of 8 years secretarial/administration experience.
• Experience in diary management and managing multiple tasks/activities preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of correspondence tracking systems preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Packages.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essential.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferred.
