Roads Resident Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform the duties of the Resident Engineer Roads on site.
• Management and direction of a team of Highway Engineers and Inspectors for the supervision of the construction of the Expressways designs.
• Identifies the resource requirements for the effective supervision of the highway aspects of the construction works, and manages the supervision team.
• Acts as prime point of contact for the highway construction supervision aspects of the project, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications.
• Builds a trusted relationship with the management team and with the client’s counterpart staff.
• Establishes an appropriate working relationship with the contractors. .
• Assists the Senior Resident Engineer with the planning and coordination of activities for the effective management, control and reporting of the construction supervision of the projects.
• Ensures that the Roads Construction Supervision team members effectively identify, manage and report project risks.

Requirements

Experiences & Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an internationally recognised accredited University

Minimum of five (5) years Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) registration or other similar professional organizations accepted by the Authority.

Minimum fifteen (15) years post graduate experience in design, site supervision, and construction management of major highway projects of complex nature.
