Job description / Role
Looking for a Safety Engineer with a successful record in the delivery of power projects as Owner's Engineer (OE) during design, construction and commissioning for a power project to be based in QATAR.
The project scope includes detailed design, construction, and commissioning of a substation including 400kv, 220kv, 132KV and 33KV across a number of packages.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Administer Safety procedures, HSE Inspection and Audit system, field execution, and safe work practices as per Safety International standard
* Monitors the work activities conducted by contractors on a regular basis, ensuring the documented scope of work is executed, safety regulations are followed and quality of works is line with client standards and contract specifications.
* Maintain close coordination with the proponent client Safety Department.
* Conducting regular safety inspections and participating in safety audits.
* Monitoring and reporting compliance with the Project Plan
Requirements
* Knowledge and experience in safety fields.
* Minimum 10 Years of Experience in Substations, Cables,
* Should have worked in the capacity of engineer level in the relevant field and should have worked in major projects of substation & transmission systems (132kV/220kV systems) involving supervision, inspection, erection and commissioning & testing of GIS, circuit breakers, over overhead mission lines, transformers and all auxiliary systems of the substation.
* Must be fully conversant / referred all relevant international standards
* Bachelor Degree from Recognised University
* Experience in KM projects and UPDA certificate holding will be an advantage
