Key tasks

Key Mission

- Under the general guidance and supervision of ADOS and DOSM and with assistance of Sales Manager implements all sales activities to promote Hotel and facilities, to sell rooms, meeting rooms, Ballroom, F&B outlets; accomplishes goals & targets set forth in the S&M Plan by DOSM.

Main Responsibilities

- To solicit and serve local/international corporate accounts as per assigned portfolio.
- To generate and maintains customers of defined accounts / areas through sales activities (face-to-face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment).
- Initiates sales calls to optimize banquet and meetings revenues.
- To be very familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times.
- Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of all competing hotel and restaurant products and provide weekly regular updates after visiting competition hotels allocated for tracking purposes.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence by monitoring business sources and segments.
- To maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales, telephone, fax, written communications.
- To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
- To demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the hotel thus identifying a high level of commitment.
- Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all hotel guests, clients, staff and employees.
- To attend major events in hotel & city as requested by Department Head.
- To closely coordinate and communicate with SM/ADOS/DOSM concerning accounts/markets which they handle.
- With assistance of SM ensure that the response to any business request is actioned within 24 hours.
- To ensure implementation of correct booking and filing procedures, including group room and meeting program history, Catering set up and themes, contractual agreements etc.
- At all times, present the client with the highest level of service, information and professionalism in all dealings with their event.
- To do site inspection for the client to show rooms, banquet space, meeting rooms, F&B outlets
- Preparation and follow-up of conference (non-residential), corporate and social function proposals, tailored to meet the needs of each client.
- To perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely & efficient manner in accordance with established hotel policies to achieve overall objectives.
- To provide feedback to the Assistant Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail, in assigned market areas.
