Job description / Role
SCM Category Specialist - Technology for Vodafone Qatar
Role purpose: Key member of the Supply Chain Management Team, based in Vodafone Qatar, supporting the Technology Products and Services Category. Deliver savings and work towards cost optimisation. The role requires the individual to work with the relevant areas of the business whilst building and managing a performance framework to deliver financial and operational efficiencies, process improvements and adhere to governance requirements.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
• Develop and execute spend category strategies
• Work closely with the Business Partners & agree on cost saving initiatives, project roadmaps, validation of monthly
reporting and cost savings
• Collaborate with the legal team & business owners to create the contractual agreement and scope of work
• Validate Purchase Orders and demonstrate awareness of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process
Key performance indicators :
• Deliver CAPEX and OPEX savings targets
• Deliver best commercial terms and reduce risk
• Deliver optimal total cost of ownership for the relevant SCM categories
Requirements
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
• 5 years solid Procurement & Supply Chain Experience, preferably in the Telecommunication’s industry
• Demonstrable experience of managing Technology categories and strategies
• Experience in managing large tenders
• Strong commercial and legal acumen
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Approved CIPSA certified courses
• Relevant business related degree is an advantage
