Second Commis Chef

Job description / Role

Ensures the delivery of extraordinary service in all areas of kitchen operation. Efficiently and professionally process guests requirements. Interacts with guests by explaining the food and beverages. Assist Junior Sous chef with food preparation, cooking, meal service as assigned. Ensures and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the entire kitchen.

You will be responsible for kitchen operation which involves preparing, cooking, presenting and storing food. Follows the standard operating procedures to meet the daily shift requirements in kitchen and buffet area. Follows HACCP hygiene and quality standards and ensure proper documentation is done as instructed by senior.

Should attain high level of product knowledge is maintained and communicated to guests. Responsible to assist team and communicate openly with Junior Sous Chef. Should Liaises with other internal departments particularly the food and beverage unit Should Cooperates and respect all staff members in order to contribute to collaborative team environment Responsible to ensure friendly and professional approach to the guests at all times.Helps others in the kitchen when required for the smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements

You will have a High School Qualification, with a minimum of 2 years job-related experience.
