Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a well-established fashion / retail brand in Qatar. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join their finance team.
As Senior Accountant, you will report to the Chief Accountant and Financial Controller. You will supervise an accounts team of 7 people being accountable for analysing financial information, financial reporting and appropriate accounting control procedures. Your main responsibilities will include the coding of invoices and expenses to the GL, coding to multiple business units, daily accounting transactions, account analysis and reconciliation. You will also be responsible for cheque payment issuance and payment transfers to suppliers as well as EFT's, cheque runs, bank and suppliers, and reconciliations.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a professional qualification such as CPA or CFA with at least 2 years finance experience within a commercial business. It is essential you have previously successfully managed or supervised a finance team. In addition, you should possess good communication and leadership skills. Knowledge of using AX Dynamics would be advantageous.
