Senior Project Lead Piping Engineer

Kentz, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for Senior Project Lead Piping Engineer to work in Qatar.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Sr. Engineers, Engineers and Designers in the execution of the full range of engineering works for a project or projects within the Piping engineering and design discipline.

Requirements

- BS Eng or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 18-20 years relevant experience in a professional technical capacity involving specification, design, planning, checking in an engineering consultancy or EPC Company within the oil and gas industry.
- Must have worked at least 5 years as a senior engineer, supervising and guiding a team of Piping engineers and designers working within a 3D data model environment.
- Must possess computer knowledge Ceasar II, 3D Review tool like Navis Works Review Reality, Microsoft application like Excel and Word.
- Must possess a good knowledge of piping mechanics and materials and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of pipe work and layout design through examples of past work.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas and/or petrochemical units and operating principles. Other industry specific knowledge may be acceptable on a location-by-location basis.
- Should demonstrate engineering leadership ambitions through completion of additional training in leadership, management and/or project management.
- Site construction and commissioning experience is essential.
