Job Summary

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a senior member of the Quantity Surveying Section in the design centre. He leads a team of Quantity Surveyors during all quantity surveying activities, including performing quantity take-offs, developing construction cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, conditions of construction contracts and instructions to tenderers.

He supports the tender process, including the development of responses to tender queries related to Bills of Quantities and conditions of contracts, evaluation of contractors’ submissions, the preparation of tender analyses reports and the support of clients during the negotiations with contractors, as needed.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred
- Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred
- In depth knowledge of quantity surveying best practices
- Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
- Knowledge of local engineering-related rules and regulations in the Middle East
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English; Arabic is an advantage
- Experience Required to Execute this Role
- 15+ years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning Industry in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm, specifically in a quantity surveying role
