Senior Quantity Surveyor - Claims (Infrastructure)

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking Senior Quantity Surveyor specialising in claims administration to be involved on a significant infrastructure construction project in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing the defence of the arbitrational case as well as managing the preparation of the major statement of claim for arbitration
- Monitoring and coordinating contractual claims and variations orders, and claims against the Government/client in conjunction with the Senior Managers and the Head of Contracts
- Drafting claim documents and letters, supervising their compilation, and representing the company at claims-related meetings with clients and consultants.

Requirements

- A history of working for large consultancies or PMCs on large highway/infrastructure construction projects
- At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification in Quantity Surveying with a membership to a recognised international professional organisation such as RICS
- At least 10 years’ experience of Quantity Surveying, with excellent technical knowledge of claims and post-contract administration
- A background of working in the Middle East would be preferred
- Excellent written communication skills
