Structural Inspector - Doha, Qatar
A unique opportunity to work on one of the biggest highway programs in the region in a diversified team of Engineers! We are looking for a Structural Inspector to join one of our Highways projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will work as an integrated member of the Construction Supervision team.
Enabling greater mobility in Qatar with shortened travel times and improved public safety, the Highways projects are being supervised by our expert design and construction supervision team. We are looking for a professional who will ensure client satisfaction and help strengthen our project delivery capabilities.
The Structures Inspector will:
• Report to the ARE and Resident Engineer (Structures)
• Keep daily records
• Carry out daily inspections of the works and sign off the relevant part of the contractor’s RFI’s in a timely manner.
• Raise any observations and non-conformances or poor workmanship with the ARE/RE in a timely manner
• Raise any safety issues with the Safety officer and/or safety engineer, keeping the RE informed.
• By flexible to work various shifts (day/night/weekend)
Requirements
• Associates Degree or at least Diploma level as a minimum educational qualification.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in structural inspection of highway related structural elements including interchange structures, retaining walls, culverts and associated works
• Ensuring all information required for checking the works is correctly extracted from the drawings and contract documents.
• Responding to all RFIs issued by the contractor within the time limits established by the Resident Engineers and AREs.
• Keeping complete records of work executed daily.
• Ability to read working drawings and related specifications and capable of enforcing the same.
• Computer literacy and excellent communication skills is essential.
