Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Responsible for supply chain management activities related to railways and major infrastructure projects.
- Develop and implement railways supply chain strategy to support the Development Program
- Implement supply chain instructions, policies and procedures
- Develop Expression of Interest (EOI) requests, conduct EOI, evaluate EOI responses
- Interview vendors, vendor’s facilities and site inspection
- Manage prequalification process, review and verify joint venture agreements with support from the Legal Department, develop vendors list and database
- Identify opportunities and assist in efforts for cost reduction and increased efficiencies
- Identify and plan delivery timetables
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure targets are met and identify ways to improve the supply chain process with suppliers
- Provide technical advice on specifications supply and logistics arrangements to facilitate efficient procurement, clearance, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment
- Assess supply operations and control mechanisms and advise on appropriate actions
- Work with the Procurement Department, as required and act as an adviser to the Commercial Department
- Prepare supply status reports required for budget reviews, programme analysis, annual reports, etc.

Requirements

-Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, Commerce or similar
- Relevant professional qualification i.e. CIPS status or equivalent procurement, project management professional qualification
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in supply chain management across multiple disciplines with relevant supply chain qualifications
- Specialist knowledge of supply chain concepts, processes, activities and trends related to railways projects and major international infrastructure projects
- Experience with planning, forecasting and inventory management
- Experience of infrastructure/transport projects /transactions, particularly rail
- Experience working in International / Middle East environment
